About The Position
The Bag Operator I is responsible for operating and maintaining bag-making machines while ensuring the production of high-quality bags that meet all specifications. This position requires technical expertise in the bag-making process and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. Bag Operator reports to Shift Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment assessment
- Drug screening required
- Background check required
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities
- Demonstrated stable work history
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications
- Understanding of safety systems and protocols
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer proficiency including email
- Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset

- Bag making experience a plus
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong technical understanding of bag-making processes

Responsibilities
- Operate 1-3 bag-making machines simultaneously with proficiency
- Monitor and maintain machine safeguards, pressure systems, dwell times, and temperature controls
- Ensure product quality meets specifications and manufacturing instructions
- Complete accurate production reports to maintain product traceability
- Input data into the Production Operating System with precision
- Perform quality tests and measurements for machine troubleshooting
- Assist Quality Technicians with box making and taping
- Coordinate with material handlers for supply management
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Benefits
- An additional $2.50/hr premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am.
