About The Position

This individual will be primarily working as a line worker. Additionally, they will be rotating and relieving the primary bagging machine operator as needed. The position is full-time and temporary, located at A Line – Olds Station, with a day shift from 5:00 am – 1:30 pm, Monday – Friday, though hours may vary depending on production. A pre-employment drug test is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and understand Stemilt pack schedules.
• Oracle and Discoverer capabilities.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Must be able to read, speak and write English.
• Must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds.
• Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• bagging machine, including cleaning as necessary.
• Must learn programs and settings to maximize efficiency.
• Direct crew of 2 to 6 employees packing bags from machine.
• Displays an excellent ability to communicate.
• Maintains pace with production line.
• Maintains efficient and clean work area.
• Know Stemilt fruit grades.
• Consistently striving to improve bagging capabilities of the machine.
• Must be able to compile daily data and send to appropriate groups.
• Utilize the full spectrum of tools at hand to maximize grower returns.
• Mechanically inclined.
• May encompass other duties than those listed.
