About The Position

HomeSense is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented Part-Time Backroom Processing Associate to join our team. In this role, you’ll help ensure merchandise is processed efficiently and accurately while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe backroom environment.

Requirements

• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
• Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Comfortable working in a physically active environment
• Capable of lifting and moving merchandise with or without reasonable accommodation
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
• +18 years old required

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail or backroom experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately
• Unpack, sort, and prepare merchandise for the sales floor
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient backroom
• Follow established merchandising and processing procedures and standards
• Move merchandise from the backroom to the sales floor as needed
• Assist with maintaining merchandise flow throughout the store
• Follow recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste procedures
• Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs
• Follow all labor laws, company policies, and procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures
• Work cooperatively with fellow Associates and Management
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
• Perform other duties as assigned
