Keep Operations Moving Behind the Scenes As a Backroom Associate at Sam’s Club, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring products are received, processed, and moved to the sales floor efficiently. Your work helps maintain inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and ensure members have access to the products they need. In this role, you’ll spend your day receiving shipments, organizing merchandise, maintaining backroom operations, and supporting a fast-paced, high-volume environment while ensuring safety and accuracy in every task.
Requirements
- Forklift Certification OR will obtain a Forklift Certification within 30 days of job entry date.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Take pride in maintaining accurate and efficient operations
- Are comfortable working with equipment and following safety procedures
- Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively
- Adapt quickly to changing business needs
- Are available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process shipments in accordance with company procedures
- Verify merchandise counts, organize receiving reports, and route merchandise to appropriate areas
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom and receiving area
- Track and process claims, including damaged goods and returned merchandise
- Prepare and manage clearance and liquidation items
- Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety standards and guidelines
- Conduct safety checks and report unsafe conditions to management
- Support inventory accuracy, reduce shrink, and maintain proper merchandise handling
