About The Position

The Backroom Associate is responsible for helping deliver a highly satisfied customer experience through customer engagement and by maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs. The position is at Marshalls Store 0523 in Concord, North Carolina, with a listed schedule of 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. Starting pay is $13.00 to $13.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
