About The Position

We're looking for a Background Investigator, where you'll play a pivotal role in protecting one of the nation's most sensitive and highly regulated industries.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3 to 5 years of experience in customer service, administrative operations, background screening, security, compliance, or related fields.
Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Capability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments, especially during high-volume outage and onboarding periods.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive background investigations for individuals seeking unescorted access to nuclear generation facilities.
Verify and evaluate personal, professional, and security-related information to determine an individual's trustworthiness and eligibility.
Support onboarding and in-processing activities, particularly during plant outages and peak operational periods.
Perform personnel risk assessments to identify and mitigate insider threats, including fraud, theft, workplace violence, domestic terrorism, and reputational risks.
Adjudicate background investigation findings while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Partner with internal stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on security screening processes, investigative standards, and access authorization policies.
Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations and compliance frameworks, including NERC, FERC, and nuclear security requirements.
