What it's like to be a Part-Time Background Field Investigator As a Part-Time Background Field Investigator at CANDA Solutions, LLC, you will conduct federal background investigations while preparing detailed reports that adhere to Federal Investigative Standards, laws, and agency regulations. Your role involves working on diverse cases throughout your geographic area of responsibility on a part-time schedule, meaning you'll travel to various places of employment, residences, and educational institutions as cases are assigned. You will need to meticulously review appropriate records to resolve material issues and establish the qualifications of the subjects under investigation. Strong organizational skills will enable you to produce thorough reports within strict timelines while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting production metrics. Since travel is part of the role, you must demonstrate adaptability in various environments and engage effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are crucial, allowing you to maintain professional relationships with government organizations, contractors, and law enforcement agencies, as well as produce detailed investigative reports. A bachelor's degree or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and reliable transportation are required to thrive in this dynamic part-time position.
