Backflow Technician
About The Position
Weston & Sampson is seeking a dependable Backflow Technician around the Wilmington, MA/Southern, NH area with 1-3 years of experience with Massachusetts backflow testing. Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience with Massachusetts backflow testing
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to retain and abide by state and local regulations
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Full-time position may require various shifts and/or flexible hours
- Travel to various communities (approximately 4 hours round trip)
- Overnights for certain community testing may be required
- Expected to participate in the on-call rotation, occasional overtime, holidays, weekends and nights
Nice To Haves
- Plumbing knowledge/experience a plus, but not required
- License preferred, required to obtain within one year of start, class & license paid by company
Responsibilities
- Test backflow preventers on a variety of systems
- Work closely with community water systems as well as private clients to ensure their drinking water is safe
- Perform backflow device testing
- Interact with water customers on a daily basis
- Use of company vehicle for travel
