About The Position

As a Backend Software Engineer (AI Applications), you’ll build the systems that power our AI Energy Agent, turning complex energy data into actionable insights. You’ll design scalable, reliable backends, integrate with diverse data sources, and enable AI agents to reason and act autonomously. Working closely with the CTO and engineering team, you’ll move quickly from ideas to production, shaping both architecture and product impact in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience building production backends or full-stack systems (Python, GCP or AWS infrastructure)
• Experience integrating LLMs and tools such as LangChain or OpenAI APIs into systems
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate based on feedback
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex systems to technical and business teams
• Ability to independently scope, execute, and deliver work
• Experience working in fast-changing environments
• Ability to connect technical work to customer outcomes and business metrics
• Upper-intermediate English level

Nice To Haves

• Experience building production systems involving energy, fintech, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Build production systems that connect LLMs and coding agents with data and product APIs
• Design and deploy fast, secure microservices in Python (and optionally TypeScript)
• Build reliable connectors to company portals and public data sources
• Help design backend infrastructure that enables AI agents to read, reason, and act autonomously across the data stack
• Own systems that run continuously with low latency and high reliability
• Ship CI/CD pipelines, logs, and metrics to ensure observability and maintainability
• Work with customer-facing teams to translate real-world problems into technical solutions
