Backend Engineer - C# and Dotnet
About The Position
At Finastra, we’re a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what’s next for the industry. Our technology powers mission‑critical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world’s top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries. We are seeking a Back-End Engineer to design and implement robust backend services, APIs, and processes. This role involves writing clean, maintainable code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality backend architecture that supports scalable applications.
Requirements
- Experience building backend services with C#/.NET, TypeScript/Node.js, or equivalent backend frameworks
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, data modeling, and server-side application development
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming and software design fundamentals
- Experience using Git/GitHub in a team-based development environment
- Familiarity with modern web application architectures involving React, Next.js, and backend APIs
- Exposure and interest in developing AI-powered or large language model-based applications
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience with Salesforce integrations or other enterprise SaaS platforms
- Exposure to Docker and containerized application development
- Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services, APIs, and data access layers
- Develop clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with modern frameworks such as C#/.NET and Next.js.
- Integrate backend services with databases, APIs, and enterprise systems
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and senior engineers to deliver end-to-end features
