Effectively collaborate across 20+ countries with a remote-first and supportive culture. We're searching for a Backend Engineer to join SplitMetrics Acquire engineering team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software development with over 4 years of professional expertise using Python.
  • Experience with Python Web frameworks (Django, FastAPI).
  • Experience with data storages like PostgreSQL (performance optimization).
  • Experience with async task queues (Celery, Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Experience in building solutions based on micro-services and scaling such systems.
  • Familiarity with modern CI/CD approaches and tools.
  • Solid understanding of standard web technologies, including security principles.
  • Ability to make architecture decisions with a strong focus on business impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with StarRocks, Airflow, Kafka Connect.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, high-load systems using various technologies in Python.
  • Handle Big data. Adapt the product to work with a large amount of data (> 200-400 million records per day).
  • Work with data: pipelines, integration, analytics.
  • Enhance system reliability, security, and performance.
  • Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain backend products.
  • Collaborate on building and scaling microservices-based solutions.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews within the domain and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work in and communicate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, product manager).
