About The Position

getpress is developing its own AI agent platform (LangGraph, PostgreSQL, Next.js) for the PR industry. The service market, from legal to consulting to agencies, is facing the biggest transformation in history. At the same time, the multi-billion dollar PR market is becoming increasingly important in the age of AI visibility. getpress, one of Germany's fastest-growing PR agencies (>40 people, clients like Trivago, Komoot, Fonio AI, or AutoScout24), has decided to lead this change rather than wait. We are building the PR Company of the future: no longer just a service company, but a Service-as-a-Software company. Our AI team has been in place for 4 months, currently consisting of one developer, a product manager, and our Head of AI. The basic architecture is in place, and initial parts of our PR platform and multi-agent system are running productively. Now, we need you – the person who, as a Backend Engineer, will own and redefine the technical foundation together with our second developer, shaping how the PR of the future works. Your role will involve full-stack development of the platform that will become the operating system for the PR agency of 2027, with close proximity to users, rapid development cycles, and where your decisions set the course. You will also be responsible for building an agent system that redefines the PR value chain end-to-end, including the agents our consultants work with daily, self-learning loops, and multi-agent orchestration. You will co-design the system architecture, including workflows, data models, interfaces, compliance, and the tech stack (currently primarily PostgreSQL, Next.js, LangGraph, Docker). Furthermore, you will be involved in the further development of the database architecture, including relational and vector databases.

Requirements

> 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung
Tech Stack: TypeScript, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, LangGraph, Github
Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Backend-Systemen mit Frameworks (fastAPI, springboot, nestJS, etc.) und gängigen Programmiersprachen (z.B. Java, Typescript, Python)
Erfahrung mit Container-based und Cloud-native Architekturen (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS oder ähnlich)
> 1 Jahr Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von KI-Agenten und -Komponenten wie Memory, Context-Engineering, Retrieval und Orchestration unter Verwendung von Frameworks wie Langchain, CrewAI, Langgraph o.ä.
C1-Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil, B2-Niveau ist ausreichend (mit Motivation in deinem ersten Arbeitsjahr den Kurs zu C1 zu machen)

Responsibilities

Fullstack-Entwicklung der Plattform, die das Operating System der PR-Agentur 2027 wird.
Aufbau eines Agenten-Systems, das die PR-Wertschöpfungskette End-to-End neu definiert.
Mitgestalten der Systemarchitektur, inkl. Workflows, Datenmodell, Schnittstellen, Compliance und Tech Stack.
Weiterentwicklung der Datenbank-Architektur inkl. relationaler Daten- und Vektor-Datenbanken.
