About The Position

Security Management Inc. (SMI) is seeking a dependable, professional, and bilingual Back-Up Security Supervisor to support security operations at the UPS Cargo facility. This position requires flexibility, strong leadership skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work various assignments based on operational needs. The selected candidate will provide supervisory coverage when needed while also performing regular Security Officer duties. Applicants must be willing to work all shifts, all days of the week, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and other basic Microsoft Office applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and use computer-based systems.
Professional demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, and clients.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
Ability to adapt to changing assignments, schedules, and operational demands.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory or leadership experience in security or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide supervisory coverage at various posts when required.
Perform regular Security Officer duties when not assigned to a supervisory role.
Assist with daily staffing coverage and operational continuity.
Monitor compliance with company policies, site procedures, and post orders.
Prepare incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
Communicate staffing concerns, incidents, and operational updates to management.
Assist with responding to emergencies and security-related incidents.
Provide guidance and support to Security Officers when serving in a supervisory capacity.
Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound judgment at all times.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
