About The Position

Jovie is seeking engaging, creative, and fun individuals to join their on-call team as a Back Up Nanny. This flexible position is ideal for those with prior experience as a babysitter, daycare worker, nanny, or church nursery volunteer, as well as retired teachers. Full-time positions are also available. As a back-up nanny, you will care for children ranging from infants through toddlers in their homes, focusing on safety and leading hands-on activities. The highest demand is for care for children under the age of 2. You will not be required to transport children or perform household duties beyond cleaning up after your activities with the child.

Requirements

At least 18 years old
Experience working with children, paid or unpaid
Infant experience mandatory
Reliable transportation
Willingness and ability to travel to various homes throughout the area
Available any 4 or more days for 6 - 8 hour shifts between 7 am and 7 pm
Commitment to be communicative and responsive to the staffing supervisor
Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
