About The Position

Established plumbing company serving Atlanta for 45 years is searching for a dependable and trustworthy JetVac Operator with a Class A or B CDL. This role is responsible for driving and operating JetVac equipment to provide prompt, reliable, and safe services to customers. Duties include cleaning and clearing sewer mains, storm drains, lift stations, large grease traps, sand-oil separators, catch basins, excavating utilities, and removing wastewater. The operator will also be responsible for daily record keeping, invoicing, inventory, and light maintenance. This position involves service work, entering confined spaces, and maintaining a clean work area, equipment, and truck. The ideal candidate must be able to interact positively with the team and clients, possess a strong work ethic, and be self-motivated. This is a 24/7 company, requiring a flexible schedule and reliable transportation. Applicants should live within approximately 30 minutes of the shop.

Requirements

  • Class A or B CDL with tanker endorsement
  • DOT medical card
  • Full use of body and senses to maintain and operate assigned equipment safely
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to climb and balance on equipment
  • Ability to crawl in tight spaces and bend and stoop around equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • US citizen or legal resident alien
  • Knowledge of tools required
  • Speak English
  • Experience operating a Jet Vac truck
  • Reliable transportation
  • MVR and criminal history will be evaluated

Responsibilities

  • Driving and operating JetVac and related company equipment
  • Providing prompt, reliable, and safe services to customers
  • Performing duties in conjunction with the work crew to clean and clear sewer mains, storm drains, lift stations, large grease traps, sand-oil separators, catch basins, excavating utilities, and removal of wastewater
  • Daily record keeping, invoicing, and inventory management
  • Performing light maintenance on equipment
  • Entering confined spaces
  • Cleaning work area, equipment, and truck
  • Interacting and contributing to the team and clients
  • Troubleshooting equipment and identifying necessary repairs
  • Maintaining company-owned equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Leaving the work area in a neat and clean condition
  • Using provided tools and equipment with care
  • Demonstrating prompt and regular attendance
  • Following written and oral instructions
  • Performing any other task or duty as may be occasionally assigned by management
