About The Position

As a Back Plant Operator, you will be responsible for performing a variety of operational tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic industrial environment to support Reworld’s thermomechanical treatment process. This is a labor-intensive entry-level position with significant potential for advancement.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operation of the plant and its component equipment with emphasis on the ash handling and metal recovery systems.
Responsible for execution of cleaning assignments, grounds keeping, and assisting plant operations and maintenance as requested
Full participation in our extensive safety program is required, including diligent use of the Safety Observation System in Process Map.
Additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations, as well as inspection, operation and PM of mobile equipment.
Perform daily walkdowns of the back ash area, inspecting conveyors, belts, rollers, separators, and related equipment for defects or abnormal conditions
Monitor equipment performance, including speeds, alignment, ash buildup, and overall system cleanliness
Conduct routine preventive maintenance and assist with corrective maintenance tasks throughout the day
Participate in the daily morning kickoff meeting (20-30 minutes) with the maintenance team to review the day’s work plan
Support scheduled system shutdowns to complete repairs safely and efficiently.
Safely perform lock-out/tag-out procedures in support of maintenance activities
Report equipment issues and submit repair requests using established work order processes
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in the ash handling and metal recovery areas of the plant
