About The Position

Smokey Mo’s BBQ is looking for hard-working, polite, and friendly individuals to join their team. The company takes pride in serving top-notch BBQ and maintaining a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Requirements

  • Must have a Food Handler's permit and TABC certification.
  • Must be able to attend shifts according to schedule and in proper uniform.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, squat, stoop, shake, carry, push and lift items throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and perform duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Must have effective hearing for accurate communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Knife skills (though training is provided).

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and sanitizing workstations.
  • Following prep lists.
  • Measuring ingredients and seasonings, and preparing cooking ingredients.
  • Preparing simple dishes, such as entrees or salads.
  • Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Assisting in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise.
  • Distributing orders to be served, cleaning plates for dishwashing, and preparing takeaway packages.
  • Supervising food and cooling room temperatures.
  • Accepting or rejecting ingredients from suppliers.
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen.
  • Helping other positions and areas depending on the needs for that day.
  • Assisting team members when needed.
