About The Position

The Back End Relief provides operational assistance and relief to back-end personnel, including the Palletizer Operator, LSM Operator, and Back End Maintainer. The role supports the setup, maintenance, and operation of production equipment; conducts quality checks and inspections; and helps maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant. The position works days on a 4-on, 4-off schedule, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a starting pay of $23.49 per hour. Requirements

Strong mechanical skills.
Ability to read, understand, and comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Basic data-entry and computer skills.
Ability to safely operate a production forklift and maintain certification.
Knowledge of safety regulations applicable to work functions.

Responsibilities

Assist with setup, maintenance, and operation of flangers, beaders, light testers, spray machines, IBOs, and the palletizer.
Conduct quality checks on cans.
Operate the palletizer, LSMs, and other back-end equipment when designated back-end operators or maintainers are unavailable.
Conduct inspections in the LSM area while the LSM operator performs daily machine cleaning.
Visually inspect cans for process compliance and take appropriate corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
Complete required documentation, including process check sheets, logbooks, and maintenance check sheets.
Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant.
Maintain clean work areas and follow safety procedures and work practices.
Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
