Furthermore, this role involves advising leadership and the technology team on project progress and enhancement opportunities. With a commitment to HIPAA regulations, the Back-End Developer is integral in safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI). Implement backend functionalities and business logic to support the business processes. ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Advise leadership and technology team on project status and opportunities for improvement. Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Requirements

Visual Studio
C#
SQL Server stored procedures, functions, and general administration
Git Repositories
Flow charts such as Lucid Charts
Understanding and some experience in Figma
Azure DevOps build pipelines and releases
Ability to work with external APIs to utilize for internal business processes.
Find cost-effective solutions to improve monthly development costs and mentor junior developers on how to develop in a cost-effective manner.
Mentor junior developers to ensure they adhere to best coding practices.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to troubleshoot problems in unknown situations and provide effective feedback on a path forward.
Ability to work independently and make logical business decisions given general guidance.
Ability to consolidate ideas and collaborate with cross-functional working groups.
Working knowledge of prescription claim electronic data interchange along with the overall reimbursement cycle for pharmacies.
Familiarity with pharmacy management, especially around adjudication, formularies, and pricing is a significant plus.
Ability to communicate at all management levels within an organization, including internal, customers, vendors, and business partners.
Ability to communicate with outside vendors and their technical teams to create shared solutions for business problems.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST and other healthcare data security standards. Document architecture, workflows and implementation guides for internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration.
Five years of software engineering experience.
Two years of software engineering experience in a healthcare finance setting, preferred.
Minimum of five years of experience in the Healthcare or Claims Adjudication space.

Nice To Haves

Direct experience in the healthcare finance field, especially in the management of self-funded medical benefit plans or healthcare provider connectivity.
Experience with Surescripts RTPC, ePrescriber, and Touchless PA across internal and client-facing platforms.
Familiarity with NCPDP Script, X12, and other pharmacy-related standards.
Experience with Mirth Connect, Redox, or InterSystems HealthShare.
Familiarity with EHR Systems and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs).
Working knowledge of MediSpan drug data
