BACHELOR'S LEVEL SOCIAL WORKER (BSW) POSITION SUMMARY The Mental Health Professional will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with all other disciplines on the Behavioral Health Unit to provide a proactive and collaborative approach in serving the patient population.

Requirements

  • The Behavioral Health Professional co-leads group therapy, one on one therapy, and crisis therapy.
  • Must have a Bachelor's in Social Work
  • Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred two-year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patient in articulating personal goals for recovery and wellness through one-to-one and group sessions.
  • Provide support in identifying and creating goals and developing recovery plans with the skills, strengths, support, and resources needed to achieve goals.
  • Encourage and assist patient to collaborate with their Behavioral Health Professional and treatment team to plan steps for achieving their recovery and wellness goals.
  • Utilize tools to assist patient in creating their own individual wellness and recovery plans.
  • Work with the treatment team to teach problem-solving techniques to individuals and groups, encouraging patients to share and discuss strategies for coping and managing daily challenges.
  • Assist in building social skills that will enhance activities of daily living.
  • Collaborate with the re-entry team to help patient participate in the release planning process.
  • Assist in developing empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
