About The Position

The Babysitter position is to ensure that all children and guest have a memorable and educational experience while at Blackberry Mountain while staying in a safe environment.

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must hold a CPR and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to effectively communicate with guests, team members and managers
• Basic knowledge and understanding of math
• Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to sit or stand for a long period of time
• Must be able to safely operate a company vehicle or golf cart
• Must be able to tolerate outdoor conditions in all seasons

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 year’s experience working with children in a professional setting (nanny, daycare, camps, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a safe environment for all children, guests and Team Members
• Arrive at work promptly at the scheduled time, and wearing the proper uniform
• Greet parents and children in a professional manner
• Confirm any allergy & medical information, take any special instruction about their child’s needs
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities
• Must be able to use positive behavior-management to maintain order
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of care
• Ability to build positive relationships with all guests and Team Members
• Be prepared to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently in accordance with all SOP’s
• Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.
