About The Position

The Emergency Evaluation (BA) primarily provides assessments and intervention services for individuals experiencing behavioral health crises and/or seeking substance abuse detoxification services.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required
A minimum of 2-year behavioral healthcare experience required
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively assess and evaluate emergency situations.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to behavioral health services and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of individuals in crisis to evaluate their mental health status and immediate needs.
Determine the appropriate level of care and intervention required for stabilization and safety.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement crisis intervention plans.
Provide crisis counseling and support to individuals and their families.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Coordinate with external agencies and resources to facilitate access to additional services and support.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in crisis intervention and mental health care.
Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards in the provision of emergency mental health services.
