About The Position
We are Purcell Tire And Service Centers – Aggressive on OTR, Heavy in mining, construction, and Ag. We are BIG on OTR + commercial, BUT we do retail + retread with locations in Reno, Fernley, and Elko. We’re hiring a hunter for the I-80 corridor from Reno/Sparks to Elko.
Requirements
- You already know the customers from Sparks to Carlin
- 2+ years outside sales in commercial/OTR tires, truck parts, lubricants, or heavy equip
- You understand why a fleet manager cares about cost-per-mile, not just price-per-tire
- Book of business is a plus, but not required
- Valid CDL preferred
- Clear 3-year MVR w/ no DUIs
- Ability to pass background and drug screen
Responsibilities
- Own a protected territory
- 95% face-to-face selling to commercial fleets, construction, quarries, and mines
- Build your own route: 5-8 stops/day
- Move inventory, push programs, and aged stock before it kills margin
- Be the technical resource customers trust
- Know DOT codes, load range, wear patterns
