About The Position

B2B Log istics Coordinator The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation of automobiles from pickup to delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation and be adept at problem-solving and customer service. Preowned Auto Logistics is a privately owned and operated national automotive carrier and broker located in Peabody, MA. They have been providing fast, safe, and reliable auto transportation with superior customer service for over 20 years. Their expertise in automotive transportation includes Seasonal Residents, Recreational Vehicles, Dealerships, Overseas/International shipments, as well as Private Party Shipping.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role, preferably within the automobile transportation or related industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in dispatch software and GPS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.
  • Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues, demonstrating strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule vehicle pickups and deliveries, ensuring optimal routing and timely execution.
  • Ensure that accounts are monitored , and properly serviced according to that accounts SLA’s
  • Provide and utilize reporting on your specific account/business unit responsibility.
  • Track the location and status of vehicles using GPS and other tracking systems, ensuring adherence to schedules and addressing any delays or issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams. Provide clear instructions and updates to all parties involved.
  • Manage customer inquiries and concerns, providing prompt and professional responses to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address and resolve any problems or discrepancies that arise during transportation, including route changes, delays, or vehicle issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including delivery schedules, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
