About The Position

NC FAST requires the services of an Azure Synapse Data Pipeline Developer for Power BI Reports. The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks a contractor to assist with the Azure Synapse Data Pipeline configuration, design, development, and testing for the Power BI dashboards that are developed as part of the FNS ARPA BIA project in NC Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST). The selected candidate will analyze and identify reporting requirements for the dashboards and develop and implement the data pipelines using Azure Synapse to effectively report data of mid to high level complexity in Power BI.

Requirements

• 5 Years performing data engineering with Azure Synapse Apache Spark Pools
• 5 Years working with Data Warehouses using Azure Synapse Analytics
• 5 Years transferring and transforming data with Azure Synapse Analytics pipelines
• 5 Years experience configuring, designing, developing and testing dashboards using Power BI
• 5 Years experience in using Oracle, Oracle Utilities, ETL tools or any other relational database and tools
• 5 Years experience with PL/SQL or other database scripting and Relational Database modeling.
• 5 Years experience with structured system development methodologies
• 5 Years ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customer by responding to needs and exhibiting an sense of urgency; independently identify options.
• 5 Years ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures.

• Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development (2 Years)
• Data Warehouse experience (2 Years)
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects (2 Years)
• Experience with Cloud SaaS and PaaS (2 Years)
• Knowledgeable in DevOps practices and Shift Left testing (2 Years)
• Experience developing applications using low code no code technologies like Salesforce, Microsoft dynamics and others (2 Years)
