About The Position

The Azure Security Architect will be responsible for reviewing and challenging solution architectures, designs, and implementation plans to ensure security, resiliency, governance, and operational readiness. This role involves evaluating various security aspects including identity and access management, networking, data protection, logging, monitoring, and third-party integrations. The architect will conduct architecture and security reviews at key project milestones, identify risks and control gaps, and provide remediation recommendations. A key part of the role is supporting audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements, particularly for finance systems. The architect will assess ERP/GL, subledger, FP&A, reporting, data platform, integration, and identity/access designs for security implications and maintain security risks and control gaps in alignment with program governance processes. This position requires close collaboration with Finance, Infrastructure, Governance, Compliance, Project Management, and external vendors, and involves providing executive-level summaries, risk assessments, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of enterprise architecture and cloud experience.
  • 5+ years designing and governing Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong cybersecurity architecture background, including Zero Trust and cloud security.
  • Experience with large transformation programs, ERP/GL implementations, or finance system modernization.
  • Experience reviewing security architecture across SaaS, cloud, integration, data platform, and enterprise identity environments.
  • Ability to translate technical security risks into business-relevant recommendations for program leaders and executives.
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Architecture & Governance.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Deep knowledge of RBAC and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
  • Deep knowledge of Azure Networking.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Defender.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Deep knowledge of Data Protection and Security Monitoring.
  • Experience working with auditors, risk teams, and compliance frameworks.

  • CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, TOGAF, or equivalent certifications
  • Experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or other regulated industries

  • Partner with Finance, Infrastructure, Governance, Compliance, Project Management, and external vendors.
  • Provide executive-level summaries, risk assessments, and recommendations.
