About The Position

This is a full-time role for an Azure Reliability Engineer III. The position requires 3 days in the office per week. The engineer will be responsible for designing reusable cloud modules, implementing policy enforcement, enhancing observability, executing upgrades and patching, troubleshooting incidents, and documenting standards. Collaboration with platform, security, and product teams is essential. The role may involve supporting critical escalations and being available during urgent IT incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 5+ years in cloud engineering or platform operations.
  • 5+ years of experience working on Linux based systems.
  • 5+ years Production experience in Cloud technologies - Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking, Azure functions, Azure automation and runbooks, workbooks, Insights, Security center, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with IaC tools like ADO, ARM, terraform, ansible, PowerShell, python, azcli, github.
  • Hands-on with automation, IAM, networking, and core cloud services.
  • Familiarity with containers/serverless and CI/CD.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on operational experience supporting Azure Virtual Network, VWAN, Express route, Load Balancer (L4/L7), Traffic Manager, CDN, Azure DNS, routing & routing protocols like BGP, firewall concepts.
  • Experience with Azure Identity including any of the following: Azure AD, PIM, Conditional Access, MFA, Azure AD Connect, Password less sign-ins, Microsoft Defender, key vault.
  • Experience with Azure Governance, Security, Monitoring, Workbooks, Compliance, and cost awareness.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, Containers and/or Kubernetes and/or OpenShift (infrastructure perspective).
  • Experience with Azure Storage Account, Disk, Snapshot, Backup, Site Recovery, file sync, Data Lake.

  • Exposure to cost optimization and tagging standards.
  • Understanding of backup/DR patterns in cloud.
