About The Position

Insight is seeking an Architect for its Enterprise Cloud Consulting Practice, focused on delivering innovative solutions for enterprise customers. The role combines technical expertise and consulting skills to provide thought leadership, design scalable and secure cloud architectures, and lead complex implementations across Azure and multi-cloud environments. The Architect will work with customers to translate business requirements into actionable cloud strategies and deliver value for large-scale enterprise clients. The role designs and implements network and security foundations for relocating applications between Azure regions while maintaining enterprise connectivity. It covers regional hubs, ExpressRoute, routing, firewalls, DNS, private endpoints, ingress and egress, network security, and troubleshooting dependencies that may block migration cutovers. The position is a hybrid opportunity based in Fort Worth, Texas, with a stated salary of $170,000.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in cloud consulting or services delivery, with a strong focus on architecting and implementing cloud solutions in client environments.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, including design, deployment, and operational management of cloud-native and hybrid workloads.
  • At least 5 years of Azure networking/security engineering experience with significant enterprise production experience.
  • Deep knowledge of VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, VNet peering, Azure Virtual WAN, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, BGP, NAT Gateway, and load balancing.
  • Strong experience with Azure Private Link/private endpoints and Private DNS.
  • Understanding of network segmentation, zero-trust principles, identity-aware access, and enterprise security controls.
  • Hands-on experience delivering public cloud infrastructure solutions and designing and deploying secure, scalable, and resilient architectures in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with large-scale application modernization, including re-platforming and refactoring legacy applications using Azure-native services such as App Services, AKS, and Azure Functions.
  • Extensive expertise in Microsoft Azure, including core services, identity and access management, governance, hybrid connectivity, and cost management.
  • A solid networking foundation with hands-on experience designing and implementing Azure networking components such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, firewalls, load balancers, and private endpoints.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-grade Azure Landing Zones using reference architectures aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), with embedded governance, security, and automation controls.
  • Proven track record of client-facing consulting engagements, including assessments, architecture design sessions, migration planning, and post-deployment advisory.
  • Demonstrated success in presales roles, including scoping, solution development, proposal support, and collaboration with sales teams to position cloud services and offerings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, including communicating technical and business value to diverse audiences.
