About The Position

This employee provides application development/integration services to the Department of Technology, Management and Budget and the Michigan Department of Civil Rights. They will be responsible for the design, maintenance, development, and enhancement of the agency applications. Project assignments and activity will be executed within the framework of the State of Michigan System Engineering Methodology (SEM). These assignments will provide for the development, testing and deployment of application releases, updates and modifications within a client/server and web server environment. This position is responsible for providing a technical support lead for COTS (Custom Off the Shelf) packages implemented for the Management Division of the department. This role performs as the system architect that will perform and lead the team with CRM project tasks, including but not limited to, gathering requirements, planning, analyzing, designing, testing, implementation, documentation and the maintenance of complex client server and web-based applications using MS Dynamics. This employee may maintain and support applications that are using the following: MS Dynamics (365), PowerApps, Portal, API's, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, Visual Basic Scripting, C#, ASP.NET , VB.NET , SQL, Java, Java Scripting, XML, HTML, Web Services, AJAX, jQuery and Azure Dev/OPS.

Requirements

• 12 years of Software Development experience.
• 3 years of experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• 3 years of experience with Azure DevOps.
• 3 years of experience using common cloud providers such as Azure or AWS.
• 3 years of experience creating and maintaining applications using containers and container orchestration tools.
• 3 years of experience configuring cache and message queuing systems with tools such as Redis or RabbitMQ.
• 3 years of experience creating and maintaining security plans and disaster recovery plans.
• 10 years of C# experience.
• 5 years of SQL Server experience.
• 3 years of experience with message queuing (Redis, RabbitMQ, or similar).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MS Dynamics (365), PowerApps, Portal, API's.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Management Studio, Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, Visual Basic Scripting, C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, SQL, Java, Java Scripting, XML, HTML, Web Services, AJAX, jQuery and Azure Dev/OPS.
