About The Position

We are seeking an Azure Data Architect / Data Engineer to join our data team, focusing on data cleansing and conversion efforts. This role requires a technical expert who understands data intricacies, the impact of cleansing decisions, and can guide the conversion process. You will work alongside existing data resources, contributing technically to building data pipelines and migrating from legacy systems. The role involves hands-on technical work, training, client interaction with the data team, and analysis for data cleansing, conversion, architecture, and process improvement.

Requirements

7+ years of data engineering / data architecture experience
Hands-on Azure data stack: ADF, Databricks, Synapse
Experience on large-scale data conversion / migration or modernization efforts
Strong, consultant-grade client communication skills
SQL plus Python/Spark for data transformation in Databricks
Data modeling and architecture for analytics/operational platforms
Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and broader Azure data ecosystem

Nice To Haves

Legacy data familiarity — DB2 / mainframe-sourced data a plus (heavy recent Azure experience can offset)
Development background that evolved into data engineering/analysis (strong plus — understands data from the code side)
Automation / AI exposure applied to data work (process improvement mindset)
Business or administration domain background

Responsibilities
