About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect with a strong background in designing and implementing solutions on the Azure Data Platform. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of architecting and designing solutions, including expertise in PySpark and a good understanding of Unity Catalog. This role involves collaborating with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into technical solutions, defining and implementing cloud governance, and identifying automation opportunities. A solid understanding of Azure Cloud Security and data modeling is essential. Experience with integrating various data sources into Data Warehouses and Data Lakes for Reporting, AI, and Machine Learning is required. The ability to articulate the pros and cons of different technologies and platforms is also crucial.

Requirements

Azure Architect with 5+ years of experience in architecting and designing solutions in Azure Data Platform including PySpark.
Minimum 7+ years of experience on Azure Data Platform.
Knowledge on Azure Cloud Security.
Good understanding of Microsoft Fabric and Co-pilot.
Experience with integration of different data sources with Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
Understanding of data modelling and data architecture concepts.
Mandatory Skillset: Azure Databricks, ADF, Architecture, PySpark, SQL.
Mandatory Certification on Azure Architect Area(s) of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge & Understanding of Unity catalogue.
Experience with Data Mesh.
Good to have domain knowledge of Life science (any of them Healthcare, Pharma, Med-Tech, Med-Devices or Manufacturing).

Responsibilities

Designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud-based solutions on Azure.
Estimating Azure Cloud projects.
Integrating different data sources with Data Warehouse and Data Lake.
Creating Data warehouses and data lakes for Reporting, AI, and Machine Learning.
Understanding and applying data modeling and data architecture concepts.
Articulating the pros and cons of various technologies and platforms.
Collaborating with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Azure cloud platforms.
Defining and implementing cloud governance and best practices.
Identifying and implementing automation opportunities to increase operational efficiency.
Conducting knowledge sharing and training sessions on cloud technologies.
