About The Position

UW Information Technology has an outstanding opportunity for an Azure Cloud & Server Support Engineer to join their team. Reporting to a Technology Manager, the Azure Cloud & Server Support Engineer is responsible for the primary operational ownership of day-to-day service delivery on the Windows Managed Server (WMS) team. This Tier 2 role handles routine and moderately complex infrastructure issues, ensuring that customer-facing managed server services remain stable, responsive, and reliable. By managing daily service demand, this position enables senior engineers to focus on Azure migration and modernization initiatives — directly supporting the organization's cloud-first strategy and Azure Migration Program (AMP). The salary information provided below is for a full-time position.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Technology or a related field or experience
Three years of experience as an engineer supporting enterprise Windows server environments.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including VM management, networking, storage, identity basics.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve standard infrastructure issues independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical documentation skills; ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical customers.
Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure as code (PowerShell, Terraform. Bicep).
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply new technologies, methodologies, tools, etc.
