About The Position

SGS is seeking a proactive Azure Cloud Engineer to join their Corporate IT team. This role will focus on supporting Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS – G6 technology). The engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud applications on Microsoft Azure, managing Kubernetes clusters, configuring Nginx, and building robust CI/CD pipelines. This is an opportunity for individuals passionate about cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and working in a dynamic, international environment.

Requirements

Strong experience in Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Networking, Storage, IAM) and .NET.
Proven Kubernetes administration and management skills.
Advanced Nginx configuration and optimization.
Experience with CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like Grafana or ELK.
Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Knowledge of cloud networking, firewalls, RBAC, SSL/TLS.

Nice To Haves

Azure or Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD).
Experience with Spring Boot / Java (J2EE, JBoss).
Familiarity with Git repositories, API gateways, or service meshes (Istio, Linkerd).
Awareness of DevSecOps, cloud cost optimization, and LIMS systems.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for production workloads.
Configure and maintain Nginx for load balancing, reverse proxy, and secure traffic.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Grafana or ELK stack.
Apply cloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, network security, and SSL/TLS.
Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues to ensure uptime.
Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.
Develop integration projects using Azure Functions.
