About The Position

The Operations Engineer is responsible for the operations of Digital Dev Ops. They’re responsible to perform code release deployments and technology upgrades to these environments and will be required to troubleshoot and monitor issues that require knowledge of development languages, COTS applications, and infrastructure (cloud and on prem). This role has a broad knowledge of the business functions to resolve critical and strategic customer technology challenges. Delivery of support will be provided through a combination of staff, contractors and vendor managed service agreements. This team is responsible for driving success around Service Level Objectives or Agreements for Level 2 and 3 application support services regardless of delivery source.

Requirements

5 years of experience in engineering, operations and / or development.

Terraform
ITIL Certification(s)
Demonstrates knowledge of at least one container technology such as Docker.
Demonstrates knowledge of at least one database technology such as MySQL, MS-SQL, or Postgresql.
Working with code management tooling such as Github or Gitlab.
Possessing knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployments.
Demonstrating Linux and Windows administration experience.
Possessing experience in configuration management across a multi-platform estate such as Chef, Ansible, Puppet or Salt.
Working in complex technical environments.

Responsibilities

Perform code release deployments and technology upgrades to environments.
Troubleshoot and monitor issues requiring knowledge of development languages, COTS applications, and infrastructure (cloud and on prem).
Resolve critical and strategic customer technology challenges.
Manage Azure environment.
Use tools like Azure DevOps, Github or Github Actions to validate requirements, deploy, and troubleshoot deployments of code and technologies in stage and production environments.
Develop, troubleshoot and operate Terraform IaC (infrastructure as code).
Build, maintain, and control stage and production environments.
Troubleshoot incidents in stage and production environments.
Proactively ensure monitoring and alerting capabilities exist for all components of the platform.
Review and enhance system health and capacity as needed.
Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and perform knowledge transfer.
Develop and maintain a current understanding of the technical architecture and designs associated with the application services delivered, and all relevant enabling technologies.
Define and maintain administrative processes that support existing and new application services and capabilities.
