About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer for a hybrid role in Albany, NY. This 12-month contract position requires a strong background in cloud engineering, particularly within a manufacturing or industrial environment. The role involves hands-on work with Microsoft Azure services, Power BI for analytics, Azure Databricks for data engineering, and Azure DevOps for automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, security).
• Proficiency in Power BI for manufacturing analytics and KPI reporting.
• Experience with Azure Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows.
• Solid understanding of Azure DevOps for automation and application lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Intune administration.
• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, DP-203, or SC-300).
• Experience integrating Azure with manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP, MES, IoT platforms).
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks relevant to manufacturing.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel for observability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Utilize Power BI for manufacturing analytics and KPI reporting.
• Develop and maintain data engineering and machine learning workflows using Azure Databricks.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
• Develop scripts for automation using PowerShell and Python.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
• Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
• Ensure cloud security best practices and compliance.
