Azure Cloud - Architecture
About The Position
The Cloud Architect will provide architectural design and implementation using Microsoft WAF and Best Practices for our Azure Greenfield environment. This role involves delivering platform support services, developing and documenting reusable Azure Greenfield reference architecture patterns, and implementing Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans. The architect will also be responsible for the design and optimization of landing zone architectures and platform services, defining cloud architecture standards, evaluating and recommending Azure services for Greenfield adoption, and conducting architecture reviews for new workloads and cloud migrations. Collaboration with Security, Identity Management, Platform Engineering, and Governance teams is essential, as is the development of reusable architecture blueprints and deployment patterns.
Requirements
- Azure Cloud Architecture
- Knowledgeable and experienced with GuardRight and ShiftLeft practices
- Knowledgeable of Azure Networking and familiar with Hub and Spoke deployments using Azure VWan
- Basic knowledge of implementation of IAC using Terraform Azure CLI Jira Confluence ServiceNow Wiz

Responsibilities
- Provide architectural design and implementation using Microsoft WAF and Best Practices
- Deliver platform support services for our Azure Greenfield environment
- Develop and document reusable Azure Greenfield reference architecture patterns for solutions
- Develop and implement Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans
- Facilitate testing of DR/BC plans with stakeholders and document results
- Design and optimization of landing zone architectures and platform services including development of new archetypes
- Definition and application of cloud architecture standards patterns and best practices
- Evaluation and recommendation of Azure services for Greenfield adoption including participation in sanctioning and governance of these services
- Architecture reviews for new workloads and cloud migrations
- Design of highly available secure and scalable cloud solutions
- Development of governance frameworks technical controls and platform guardrails
- Collaboration with Security Identity Management Platform Engineering and Governance teams
- Development of reusable architecture blueprints and deployment patterns
