About The Position

Our client, a US Government and Public Sector technology organization, is seeking an experienced Azure Solution Architect to lead cloud-based solution design and architecture for key government platform initiatives. The ideal candidate holds an active Secret clearance or is able to obtain one. LinkedIn profile must be current with resume and photo — this is a client requirement.

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Azure / Azure Gov (Gateways, Firewalls, Containers, ADO, etc.)
• Experience architecting IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions on Microsoft-centric platforms
• Claims-based authentication: SAML / OAuth / OIDC, MFA, JIT, RBAC / Ping
• Configuration management and automation tools (Azure DevOps, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Octopus, Salt, etc.)
• Multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management
• Cloud security controls — tenant isolation, encryption at rest/in transit, key management, SIEM, WAF, vulnerability assessments
• Deep understanding of application, infrastructure, and security architecture including scalability, reliability, and performance
• Experience with data movement and transformation technologies
• Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (active clearance highly preferred)
• Must be US-based
• LinkedIn profile must be current with resume and photo (client requirement)

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, VMware, OpenStack, Rackspace)
• Background in US Government or Public Sector technology engagements
• Experience designing distributed microservices across multi-platform cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture and design for Azure and Azure Gov cloud platforms
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise across multiple projects and cross-functional teams
• Develop high-level solution overviews and detailed infrastructure designs that balance cost, risk, and quality
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and vendors to translate business requirements into secure and scalable solutions
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards, security policies, and best practices across the delivery lifecycle
• Drive consensus among stakeholders and guide architecture decisions across complex, multi-disciplinary engagements
