About The Position

This is a 3-4 month full-time contract position for an AZ Operator 1 specializing in Vacuum Truck Services. The role involves collecting various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from customer sites, requiring the loading and unloading of trucks. Operators will use a variety of equipment including box trucks and tractor trailers, depending on their license. Responsibilities include completing all necessary paperwork and government documents, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining close daily contact with supervisors/dispatchers. While generally working without direct supervision, the role is part of a team focused on professional and timely customer service. Driving hours are subject to government regulations, and overtime and weekend work are common.

Requirements

  • High School diploma minimum.
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various types of trucks including Box, Van trailer.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment.
  • Safely load, transport and unload a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
  • Complete all required transport documents including pre & post trip inspections.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
  • Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate run/paperwork completion.
  • Collect various liquid and solid hazardous wastes from various customer sites.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Operate a variety of truck and equipment including box trucks, tractor trailer and any other equipment that fits their license.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and government documents.
  • Speak with the customers and verifying they are satisfied with our service.
  • Keep in close contact with your supervisor/dispatcher on a daily basis.
  • Work as part of a team that works together to make sure all customers are serviced in a professional and timely manner.
