Reporting to the Information Security and Infrastructure Manager, the AWS Specialist designs, deploys, and optimizes AWS services and workflows across Accordion's enterprise and practice-supporting environments. This role brings deep hands-on expertise across services such as EC2, S3, EKS, and IAM and helps ensure AWS capabilities are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-aware. The role partners closely with cloud engineering, security, and development teams across the US, UK, and India. Travel will be required. This position will ideally be based in one of our US offices and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week (also eligible for remote candidates). This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting AWS environments in production
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, and related infrastructure capabilities
  • Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, and secure cloud operations
  • Comfortability with troubleshooting, optimizing, and improving AWS environments, with a focus on scalable, secure, and reliable outcomes
  • Ability to work across engineering, security, and operational teams – you are a strong collaborator across technical teams
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • AWS certifications are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and optimize AWS workloads and supporting platform services
  • Support architecture and engineering decisions across EC2, S3, EKS, IAM, and related AWS capabilities
  • Help implement secure configuration, access controls, resilience, and operational standards for AWS environments
  • Support backup, failover, monitoring, and recovery readiness
  • Improve automation, provisioning speed, and infrastructure consistency through tooling and repeatable engineering patterns
  • Partner on usage optimization and cost-aware design decisions
  • Work with infrastructure, security, and development teams to support enterprise platforms and practice development activities running on AWS
