Where We Need You Protiviti is looking for an AWS Security Risk Manager to join our growing Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security Engineering team. You will help clients identify, assess, and manage security risks while enabling secure cloud adoption, modernization, and transformation. What You Can Expect As a Manager, you will partner with clients to translate complex business and data requirements into practical AWS Security solutions. You will also develop trusted client relationships, mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants, contribute to proposals, and help expand Protiviti’s AWS data engineering capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on security experience across cloud and/or enterprise environments.
- 2+ years of consulting or professional services delivery experience.
- 1+ year of direct AWS experience in a security-focused capacity.
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency (CloudFormation or Terraform).
- Prior delivery experience in a large, regulated enterprise environment (financial services strongly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., MIS, IS, Comp Sci., etc.).
- 5+ years working in professional services or industry.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification.

Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and manage security risks while enabling secure cloud adoption, modernization, and transformation.
- Translate complex business and data requirements into practical AWS Security solutions.
- Develop trusted client relationships.
- Mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants.
- Contribute to proposals.
- Help expand Protiviti’s AWS data engineering capabilities.
- Design and implement enterprise data platforms and pipelines on AWS.
- Provide client advisory, facilitation, executive communication, and stakeholder-management.
- Produce clear written documentation (architecture decision records, security patterns, runbooks) suitable for client Tech Risk review.
- Work directly with client engineering, security, and compliance teams as an embedded SME.
- Operate under change-control and audit scrutiny.
