The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an AWS Platform Architect you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Designing and developing next generation cloud platforms for 3M to support large scale server/application workloads Advocating for engineering practices and leading initiatives for adoption of modern cloud computing methodologies Owning and driving technical standards, mentoring junior engineers, and partnering with network, security operations, and development tool teams to deliver resilient, scalable, cost efficient, and secure cloud platform services Developing AWS Cloud Formation templates, tools, libraries, and automation code Engaging others to positively influence organizational change efforts Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of AWS cloud deployment and operational experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Ten (10) years of AWS cloud deployment and operational experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing AWS GovCloud environments and deployments
  • Proven experience automating cloud deployments using Python, Ansible, Terraform and CDK, as well as familiarity with Git-based workflows
  • Experience in an AWS organization managed by Control Tower
  • Work experience with multi cloud connected environments

Responsibilities
