About The Position

We are looking for an AWS Kubernetes Terraform Engineer for a 6-month duration. This is a remote position with an in-person interview required. The role is based in Edison, NJ, and we are looking for local profiles only.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced Terraform development experience.
  • Experience with Amazon EKS.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with Docker and container technologies.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts: DNS, load balancers, firewalls, and security groups.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Kubernetes security hardening.
  • Container security and image scanning.
  • IAM and access management.
  • Secrets management solutions (AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, etc.).
  • Security monitoring and incident response.

Nice To Haves

  • CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist Certification.
  • Experience: 5 years of cloud infrastructure and DevOps experience.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure AWS: Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure AWS infrastructure. Implement and maintain core AWS services including VPC, EC2, EKS, IAM, Route53, ALB/NLB, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Auto Scaling. Optimize cloud resources for performance, security, and cost efficiency. Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Kubernetes Administration & Security: Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, primarily Amazon EKS. Configure networking, ingress controllers, service meshes, storage classes, and cluster autoscaling. Implement Kubernetes security best practices aligned with CKS standards. Secure workloads using RBAC, Network Policies, Pod Security Standards, Secrets Management, and admission controllers. Perform vulnerability assessments, container image scanning, and security compliance checks. Monitor cluster health, capacity, and availability.
  • Terraform Infrastructure as Code: Develop, maintain, and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Create reusable Terraform modules and manage state files efficiently. Automate provisioning of AWS infrastructure through CI/CD pipelines. Conduct Terraform code reviews and enforce infrastructure governance standards.
  • DevOps Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline. Automate infrastructure deployment, application releases, and operational activities. Integrate security controls within DevSecOps workflows. Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment reliability.
  • Monitoring & Reliability: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or similar tools. Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis. Improve platform observability, performance, and operational excellence.
