Intermediate AWS Cloud System Operations Administrator
About The Position
This role is for an Intermediate AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator who will be responsible for deploying, managing, and operating workloads on AWS. The position involves implementing security controls and compliance requirements, defining requirements, creating functional models, and developing architectural processes. The administrator will optimize system operations using AWS tools like Kubernetes and Docker, ensuring alignment with security protocols and standards for cloud services. The job requires a TS/SCI clearance and offers a referral bonus of up to $1,500 and a sign-on bonus of up to $2,000.
Requirements
- Ten (10) years of overall experience in one or more of the functional areas listed below.
- A bachelor's degree in related field required.
- Ten (10) years IT systems administrative experience with both Microsoft and Linux platforms.
- Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience and/or training in system administration related to ability to manage and operate workloads on AWS systems.
- Demonstrated experience in system administration support and management related to Amazon EKS.
- Demonstrated experience in system administration and supporting development and test teams in AWS and along with an applied understanding of Kubernetes and traditional RHEL servers.
- Kubernetes CKA certification and/or training and one year applied experience on containerized platforms.
- IAT II certification (Security+ Desired)
- TS/SCI clearance required
- An intermediate level AWS Cloud Systems Operations Administrator should have at least two (2) of the following Trainings or Certifications below and at least one (1) year applied experience with Container Orchestration and/or application deployment.
- Two (2) years proven relevant experience may be substituted as applicable to each certification.
