About The Position

We pride ourselves on our cutting-edge technologies, exceptional customer service, and collaborative work environment. Our organization seeks a motivated and skilled AWS Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect plays a strategic role in upholding our reputation for technological excellence and innovation. You will lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of state-of-the-art modern software development and cloud architectures that address our customer’s business requirements and anticipate and plan for future growth and evolution. As the driving force behind our software modernization and cloud strategies, you will liaise between business units and technical teams, ensuring that the solutions align with our customer’s business goals while integrating seamlessly with existing systems and technologies. You will be hands-on in every project lifecycle stage, from initial brainstorming sessions and stakeholder consultations to the final stages of deployment and post-deployment reviews. This is a fully remote, full-time position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in at least one cloud platform such as AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate).
  • 3-7 years of experience in IT or software development, with at least 3-7 years in a solutions architect role.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and integration technologies (e.g., APIs, middleware).
  • Strong technical proficiency with an understanding of various programming languages, databases, and software development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on providing practical and innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in using architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML).
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Forward-thinking with a keen eye for identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  • A willingness to continually learn and adapt to the evolving technology landscape.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Candidates MUST have lived in the U.S. for at least 3 of the past 5 years and be authorized to work in the U.S. (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).
  • This position does not offer any type of sponsorship. Candidates must already be authorized to work in the U.S. (e.g., Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD).
  • Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • All work must be conducted within the U.S., excluding U.S. territories.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.
  • As the US Government is our clientele, you may be required to obtain a public trust or security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or professional certifications in related areas are preferred.
  • Additional certifications in DevOps or SRE practices (e.g., Docker Certified Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are highly desirable.
  • Experience in government consulting preferred.
  • Experience in management consulting is preferred, and a client-facing role is a plus.
  • Familiarity and experience working with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) environment, processes, or data will be considered a strong plus.
  • Some of our available roles are on federal contracts that require a degree or additional years of experience as a substitute.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive solution architectures that align with business objectives and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to create customized solutions that address specific business challenges.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS.
  • Help in developing and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and mutual understanding of solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and feedback from key stakeholders.
  • Evaluate existing systems and propose enhancements or integrations that can improve functionality and efficiency.
  • Assess potential technology partners and vendors to support solution development and implementation.
  • Develop detailed documentation, including architectural diagrams and technical specifications, to guide solution implementation.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer through training and workshops to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new solutions.
  • Ensure that solutions adhere to industry standards and organizational policies, including data privacy and security guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the legal and compliance teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and make adjustments as necessary to optimize results.
  • Work with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise post-implementation.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Advocate for the adoption of best practices in solution architecture and design.
