About The Position

This role is for a Full-time AWS Cloud Security Engineer with a Hybrid work model in Morrisville, NC. The position requires ensuring secure AWS configurations, identifying and remediating security gaps, collaborating with various teams, and automating security processes. This role is not open for C2C.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional cloud security engineer experience
• Ability to work in the U.S.
• Experience with AWS, IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, security Hub, and WAF
• Hands on knowledge with SIEM tools
• Proficiency in scripting and automations

• CISSP certificate

Responsibilities

• Ensure secure AWS configuration by maintaining environments aligned with best practices, STIGs, CIS benchmarks, and NIST 800-53 controls
• Identify and remediate security gaps through continuous monitoring, documentation of findings, and creation of remediation tickets
• Engage stakeholders by leading discussions on configurations, vulnerabilities, and recommended actions
• Collaborate across teams including DevOps, IT, and Compliance to support secure cloud operations
• Automate and document security processes using cloud-native tools and scripting while maintaining clear security documentation
