About The Position

The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos has an opening for an experienced AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner to work in our Orlando, FL office. This role supports the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Battle Network and its supporting infrastructure, specifically focusing on fielding and operating the customer's Digital Infrastructure. The Certified Cloud Practitioner will be involved in day-to-day activities and strategic long-term maturation of complex systems. The DINM Team is responsible for maintaining the DI-N and DI-NIL architecture and services, which includes operations in the cloud. This role requires overall management of cloud systems, monitoring of the environment, system deployments, networking, VPC creation and management, security group maintenance, volume creation and maintenance, and backup and recovery actions. The support effort will also include working with customers to ensure the needed environment is configured properly and access has been configured to allow a least privilege concept during stakeholder activities. Full documentation of builds and configurations, as well as process flow documentation, are mandatory. Additional duties include backing up other personnel in support of the DI-NIL effort, which focuses on Verification and Validation for the Digital Infrastructure Network.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree with 6+ years of prior relevant experience or demonstratable experience as a Subject Matter Expert. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CAP) Certified
Minimum of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Demonstrable knowledge of AWS Cloud concepts and applying these concepts to Department of Defense programs.
Demonstrable experience in design review participation and providing customer centric input.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and task execution situations involving the full spectrum of system integration activities.
Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
Mid-level network understanding.
Mid-level understanding of government systems security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation – ability to discuss security issues and concerns.
Demonstrated ability to brief technical and non-technical customers.
Ability to achieve a high degree of customer satisfaction and maintain Leidos positive brand recognition.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience with Agile program execution and using agile tools (e.g. Jira and Confluence).
4 years of DoD-based system security testing (ACAS/Nessus) and remediation with the ability to discuss security issues and concerns.
Prior experience designing and deploying networks.
Prior experience with SAFe Agile implementation.
Prior experience support Department of the Air Force programs.
Previous experience working on complex multi-domain systems.
Prior experience with managing operating systems (Windows or Linux).
Experience with the development, maintenance, and validation of Infrastructure As Code (IaC/Terraform).

Demonstrable knowledge of test automation and test result analysis.

Responsibilities
