About The Position

Join Heritage Health Network as a Cloud Systems & Data Administrator and play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the technology and data infrastructure that supports our care teams and members. In this role, you will own cloud systems, data integrity, and reporting infrastructure, ensuring our platforms are secure, reliable, and scalable. You’ll work cross-functionally with operations, clinical, billing, and executive leadership to deliver accurate, actionable data that drives decision-making and improves outcomes for the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing AWS cloud environments
  • Strong experience with RDS/Aurora, SQL, and database administration
  • Experience designing or maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes, or system integrations
  • Direct experience working with HIPAA-regulated environments or healthcare data systems (required or strongly preferred)
  • Experience supporting or integrating EHR systems (eClinicalWorks strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles (IAM, encryption, access controls, audit logging)
  • Ability to troubleshoot across cloud infrastructure, databases, and application layers
  • Strong communication skills to support technical discussions with internal stakeholders and external partners

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare programs such as Medi-Cal, CalAIM, ECM, or payer environments
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI (dashboard building preferred, not required)
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (Power Automate or similar)
  • AWS, Azure, or cybersecurity certifications (Solutions Architect, Security+, etc.)
  • Startup or high-growth healthcare technology experience

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS/Aurora) supporting healthcare systems and data workloads
  • Own database environments including SQL performance, schema management, and RDS optimization
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations (APIs, ETL processes) across systems such as eClinicalWorks, Zoho, and RingCentral
  • Implement and enforce cloud security controls aligned with HIPAA, HITECH, and PHI handling requirements
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure and data issues, and ensure high availability of critical systems
  • Partner with leadership on data architecture, system design, and technical strategy for healthcare operations
  • Support system implementations, migrations, and modernization projects across cloud and data platforms
  • Maintain technical documentation for architecture, data flows, integrations, and security controls
