As an Awake Overnight in one of our cottages, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well being of our students. You will remain awake and alert during your shift to perform routine checks of students in our residential programs. You will attend to their direct care, medical and behavioral needs and respond to- and document any emergencies or issues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1 year of experience working with special needs children or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to complete and maintain First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Crisis Prevention and Physical Intervention (CPPI), and Sign Language (dependent on program needs)

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety and well being of students
• Remaining awake and alert during the shift
• Performing routine checks of students in residential programs
• Attending to direct care, medical, and behavioral needs of students
• Responding to and documenting emergencies or issues
