About The Position

The Resort Operations Finance team at MVW is on a multi-year journey to build a team designed for impact, not transactions. We've made our roles outcome-based: you'll own decisions and create value as a trusted finance business partner embedded with site resort leaders and Boards members driving revenue, adjusted EBITDA, and cost management outcomes. With transactional work, e.g. AP, AR, month-end, reconciliations, audits, and billing, handled by our external managed service provider, you'll focus on delivering insights, ensuring governance, and achieving results. Success is measured by impacts across multiple properties giving you broad exposure and meaningful participation. Onsite role based at the corporate office of MVW in Orlando, FL, the Assistant Vice President, Strategic Finance & Analytics is a senior finance leader primarily responsible for leading the Strategic Finance organization that supports the Resort Operations Finance organization at both corporate and across all regions and sites, resort-based associations, and resort ancillary operations. This role drives financial performance through advanced analytics, strategic planning, performance management, business partnership, and decision support capabilities that enable leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions. Leads the development and delivery of scalable self-service analytical tools, predictive models, and performance frameworks supporting leadership at the corporate, regional, market, and site levels. Serves as the strategic hub for financial insight generation, translating operational and financial data into actionable recommendations that improve business performance, owner value, operational efficiency, and long-term financial results. While the AVP advances the Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A) and Data Analytics needs for Resort Operations across the MVW Enterprise, the primary purpose of the role is to strengthen business partnerships, enhance the strategic decision-making process, and advance performance management capabilities of the Resort Operations organization. This AVP role is best characterized as a strategic finance transformation leader rather than a traditional FP&A senior leader. At the same time, this role sits at the intersection between the MVW Corporate FP&A function and the Resort Operations Management team. Successful candidates will combine executive finance expertise, advanced analytics, data governance, change leadership, and influential business partnership skills to modernize how Resort Operations drives performance and decision-making across the enterprise.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
At least 10 years of progressive, related work experience in finance, accounting, strategic finance, analytics, business intelligence, operational finance, or shared services governance.
Experience leading analytics transformation, strategic finance, self-service BI, reporting standardization, data governance, finance operating model change, or shared services performance management preferred.
Experience supporting complex multi-site operations, hospitality, vacation ownership, resort operations, association management, ancillary operations, or outsourced provider environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Supports defining the direction and shares communicating the Strategic Finance & Analytics vision, roadmap, governance model, and operating management routines aligned with Resort Operations Finance priorities, field finance needs and enterprise objectives.
Leads, coaches, and develops corporate Resort Operations Finance analytics resources and regional financial analyst pods, builds capability in financial modeling, data storytelling, automation, dashboard development, predictive analytics, and strategic business partnership. Partners with the MVW corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team to ensure functional alignment across the MVW Enterprise.
Champions the shift from manual, reactive reporting to proactive, technology-enabled insights that improve decision quality, accountability, and business performance.
Leads and manages the change management associated with the Strategic Finance operating model, including stakeholder adoption, education, governance, and continuous improvement.
Leads and manages the Strategic Finance & Analytics function supporting Resort Operations, Associations, and Ancillary operations by providing actionable insights that improve financial performance, operational effectiveness, owner value, and long-term business results. Develops analytical frameworks and performance scorecards that link operational drivers to financial outcomes and business strategy.
Leads development of predictive analytics, scenario modeling, driver-based forecasting capabilities, and early-warning indicators that identify emerging risks and opportunities before they materially impact business performance.
Provides analytical leadership supporting maintenance fee strategy, maintenance fee mitigation initiatives, ancillary profitability, operational efficiency, cost optimization, labor productivity, capital allocation, and growth initiatives.
Manages strategic planning activities including annual budgets, forecasts, long-range plans, executive reviews, board presentations, and key business initiatives.
Leads the delivery of performance analytics across associations, ancillary operations, markets, and regions to identify trends, best practices, performance gaps, and scalable improvement opportunities.
Translates complex financial and operational information into executive-level recommendations that influence business decisions and measurable outcomes.
Leads benchmarking, scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, and value case development supporting strategic business decisions.
Serves as a senior strategic finance partner to executive leadership by connecting financial performance, operational drivers, market dynamics, and enterprise priorities into actionable recommendations.
Leads and manages the continued evolution of Resort Operations Finance from a transactional support model to a strategic business partnership organization focused on value creation and performance improvement.
Enables Directors of Finance, Market Finance Leaders, Regional Leaders, and Resort Operations executives with tools, metrics, and decision-support capabilities that strengthen business partnership effectiveness.
Partners with field finance leaders to identify business risks, evaluate opportunities, and accelerate achievement of financial and operational objectives.
Supports new site openings, site transitions, operating model evaluations, and organizational planning initiatives in partnership with Resort Operations and Asset Management.
Builds and sustains strong executive partnerships across Corporate FP&A, Operations, Accounting, Data Analytics, GT, Asset Management, Trust Management, and Resort Operations.
Serves as the steward of the single source of truth for Resort Operations Finance analytics, reporting definitions, governance standards, controls, ownership, and reporting logic.
Designs, builds, and governs scalable self-service dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools supporting corporate, regional, market, and site-level leaders.
Establishes data standards, validation routines, reconciliation controls, and governance processes that ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and trust.
Partners with Corporate FP&A, Accounting, Data Analytics, GT, Compliance, and business leaders to align reporting requirements, business definitions, and performance metrics.
Drives reporting simplification through the elimination of duplicate reports and adoption of standardized analytics platforms and scorecards.
