About The Position

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Strategic Analytics & Executive Reporting serves as a key partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, providing data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for synthesizing complex internal and external data into clear, actionable narratives for board-level presentations, executive reporting, and enterprise-wide performance management. The AVP translates key performance indicators (KPIs) into meaningful business outcomes, enabling leadership to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and drive growth. Following initial onboarding and training, this position may transition to a hybrid remote work arrangement, allowing performance of job duties to be completed both from home and on-site, with a structured schedule designed to support flexibility, business objectives, and consistent collaboration.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience in financial services, analytics, strategy, or executive reporting is required.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing C-level presentations and working directly with senior executives is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights is required.
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills and ability to use statistical analysis and modeling, with associated technology applications
  • Strong relationship and communication skills in working with colleagues, as well as influencing customers on recommendations and analysis results
  • Experience working in Excel and databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, Aurora, Redshift, My SQL, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact and make recommendations to all levels of the organization
  • Must possess strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data

Nice To Haves

  • Credit Union or Banking experience is preferred.
  • A master's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partners directly with the CEO to develop high-impact presentations and reports for the Board of Directors, executive committees, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Analyzes and interprets internal KPIs across all business lines (lending, deposits, member engagement, operations, etc.) to assess organizational performance.
  • Translates quantitative data into clear business insights, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities that influence strategic direction.
  • Designs and maintains executive dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide timely, accurate, and relevant performance metrics.
  • Develops compelling data visualizations and storytelling materials tailored for non-technical audiences, including board members and senior leadership.
  • Supports enterprise strategic initiatives by providing analytical insights, scenario modeling, and performance tracking.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Marketing, Risk, and IT to ensure data integrity and alignment of KPIs with organizational goals.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, and analytical capabilities across the organization.
  • Conducts ad hoc analyses and special projects as directed by the CEO, often under tight deadlines and with high visibility.
  • Monitors industry trends, peer benchmarks, and market conditions to provide external context to internal performance metrics.
  • Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
